All men have some complaints when it comes to their marriage. It’s impossible to be in a long term, committed relationship without there being some bumps in the road from time-to-time. Although each marriage is unique, there are some common complaints that seem to pop up in many of them along the way. One of those is when a man says, “I wish my wife would listen to me.” If you feel as though your wife isn’t hearing what you’re saying or she’s not appreciating your opinion, that’s frustrating. You can change that part of the dynamic of your relationship if you understand exactly how to make it happen.
When you’re saying to yourself, “I wish my wife would listen to me,” you’re feeling ignored, aren’t you? That’s obviously one of the very worst things any man can feel within his relationship. A marriage is all about equal partnership and that means that you both need to value and appreciate it each always. If your wife starts to pull back and doesn’t have time to listen or she just blatantly ignores you, that’s a huge problem. Obviously, talking to her about the issue is the best route to take. However, the catch 22 with that approach is that if she’s intent on not hearing you, your complaints and concerns are going to be falling on deaf ears.
You may have to take drastic measures to ensure your wife listens to you more. The way to do this may seem a bit unconventional but it can be a powerful tool in a marriage that has become unbalanced. Pulling back from your wife, even just a bit, can have the effect on her that you desire. Women are very in tune with the way their husband acts and when that shifts, even minutely, they sit up and take immediate notice. That’s why if you stop trying to talk about things, she’ll start wanting to listen.
It’s important to handle this in the right way so you don’t cause even more distance between you and your wife. Your goal is to pull back just enough that she notices that you’re no longer quick or eager to share what you’re feeling with her. She’ll wonder why you have changed and she’ll start to create scenarios for your distant behavior in her mind. Suddenly, the things you’ve wanted to share will become incredibly important to her and she’ll start pushing you to talk more with her.
Obviously, the idea of playing power struggle games in your marriage may not be appealing to you. It’s important to balance things out sometimes though and in this case, if you stop talking that will be enough for her to want nothing more than to hear what you have to say.
Saying or doing the wrong thing can actually cause your wife to feel even more distant from you. You can make your wife fall back in love with you, all over again.
You don’t have to worry about whether your wife is on the brink of asking you for a divorce. You can control the situation and use specific techniques to naturally make her fall hopelessly in love with you.
